As we Commemorate Menstrual Health this month, we are excited to engage university students through a virtual webinar. We cordially invite you to join us and gain valuable insights into the university’s perspective on this crucial topic.
This webinar marks our inaugural event, and we aspire to gather diverse experiences and perspectives. In collaboration with Mhodzi Trust based in Zimbabwe and Kyambogo University's Directorate of Gender Mainstreaming, we have secured funding from the COVA Project Australia to make this possible. We have drawn inspiration from our esteemed partners, the Irise Institute East Africa, who have successfully implemented menstrual flow cups in Africa. Here is a blog on menstrual flow cup usage in Africa, and a video of students showcasing their stories.
During the webinar, we will feature students from Kyambogo University, as well as representatives from Lupane State University and the University of Zimbabwe. Additionally, we will be launching a groundbreaking Menstrual Flow Cup Project, generously supported by the COVA Project Australia, which aims to provide support to 200 university students from Kyambogo.
The webinar will take place for one hour and 30 minutes, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm EAT.
